Fraiche - Opening Sometime
I strolled by the location for a new restaurant in downtown Culver City (where else?) called Fraiche, on Culver Blvd., just up the street from Ford's Filling Station and Tender Greens. Jason Trevi, who was the chef at Bottlerock around the corner, will lead the kitchen. A couple months before Christmas I chatted with Fraiche owner, Keith, and he was projecting a January opening. Well, I am waiting...

thanks for solving yet another local neighbourhood mystery! you might be amused to know that our best guess for any new-looking space in Culver City these days is that it will become a Pinkberry.
Yeah, I have been wondering about that space that used to be the bakery outlet. That could be a Pinkberry!
Hi there. Found this through myspace (I graduated CCHS in 92. Gonna pass your lovely blog on to my mom as this is right up her alley.
Best wishes,
Laurie
I'm waiting as well. My friend Thierry is the maitre d' there and I can vouch for him...it's gonna be a great place. If I hear more...I will let you know.
btw - just found this blog via google
I strolled by Fraiche today on the way to the CC farmer's market and it looks like they are getting close! Stacks of chiars in side, the patio railing is up, stacks of wine glass boxes piled up, and lots of smal carafes at the bar. Also, they have one of those wime machines like AOC and Father's Office - looks like they will offer many wines by the glass. Looking forward to it.
Hi Bree...I love your website. I live 3 blocks from most of the places you write about in Culver City.
fyi about Fraiche...they've just hired me as a server...I start training next monday (I hope) and are hoping to be open for dinners about a week after that. Dinner for a few weeks then weekday lunches also.
regards,
Catherine
Thanks Catherine! Please keep me posted, I am anxious to try it out - I am sure it will be yet another fab. addition to CC.

has some info about the place, and a (non-working) homepage link
Sign up today says "Grand Opening 4/26"
re: the former bakery outlet, it's gonna be an expansion of Ugo. From what I hear, it's gonna be their take-out kitchen, a gelateria (sort of Pinkberry-y!), and an expansion of their patio.
